Dear VMC Clients,
We would like to share the Veterinary Medical Center's (VMC) prevention measures we are putting in place to help keep the VMC facility safe and healthy for our employee's and clients.
We are focused on our team members safety and health by keeping them informed with current information, along with emphasizing healthy workplace habits including frequent hand washing and avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. Please know that information and situations are constantly changing on a daily basis and we may have to adjust as new information surfaces. At this time the VMC is operating on a normal business schedule, while at the same time trying to take as many precautions as possible. We remain committed to doing our very best to care for our employees, our clients and their pets during this evolving situation.
Our existing cleaning procedures, which already exceed standards, have been reinforced and we are focused on disinfecting frequently touched areas like doors handles, counter tops, credit card machine, pens, light switches, etc.
If you are sick with COVID-19 (either suspected or confirmed) you should restrict contact with pets and other animals, just as you would around other people. While there have been rare reports of pets or other animals becoming sick with COVID-19, it is still recommended that people with COVID-19 limit contact with animals until more information is known about this virus. When possible, have another member of your household care for your animals while you are sick. If you must care for your pet or be around animals while you are sick, wash your hands before and after you interact with them. Ensure that your pet is well-groomed and clean your pets food and water bowls, bedding material, and toys. For more info on your own health, contact a physician.
Please refer to AVMA.org, health.PA.gov, and CDC.gov for more information regarding COVID-19.
Sincerely, The Veterinary Medical Center of Lebanon, Inc.
